Principal's Bio

My name is Mrs. Tracy Newman Foster. This is my 16th year at West Carroll. Before entering the world of education, I worked in the finance world. I felt led to make a change and pursued and attained a bachelor's degree at Bethel University and a master's degree in Instructional Leadership at Union University. I am certified to teach special education grades K-12, regular education grades K-6, and English grades 7-12. I recently served as the RTI2 Interventionist and Data Coach for grades 7-12 and now serve as principal for grades 3-6.

I have been married to my husband, Mike, for almost 28 years. We have three children, Whitney, Kayla Beth, and Hunter. My husband and all three of our children graduated from West Carroll. I attended West Carroll until 4th grade and transferred to McKenzie and remained there until I graduated. My husband and I have lived in the West Carroll District for the entirety of our marriage. We also have a precious Mini Australian Shepherd named Oliver.

I have often remarked that my husband is and always has been West Carroll's biggest supporter. He was on West Carroll's first ever football team and played baseball and excelled academically during his school career. He went on to play baseball at Bethel University and later completed his degree at Jackson State Community College. West Carroll prepared him with the tools he needed to be successful. Our oldest daughter, Whitney played basketball and softball and graduated with honors at WC. Whitney is in the National Guard and is currently enrolled at Bethel University completing her degree in business. Kayla Beth, our middle child was a cheerleader, a member of the colorguard, and salutatorian in 2012 at West Carroll. She graduated from Bethel University with honors with a degree in biology, all while being a member of the dance team. She is currently enrolled at UT Chattanooga in the Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Program and will graduate this May. Our son Hunter played baseball, basketball, and football for West Carroll and graduated with honors. He is a senior at Bethel University. He will receive a degree in business with an emphasis in accounting and graduates this fall. He also played the position of right tackle for Bethel's football team. In my household we know that West Carroll students can do great things! Go War Eagles!
